Zecco Review
The thing to love about Zecco is the low trading commissions. At less than $5 a trade, Zecco is hard to beat in this arena. They do charge a $2 surcharge for penny stocks and ½ cent per share as a surcharge on after-hours trades, but even with these surcharges Zecco’s pricing is competitive.
You may remember that Zecco used to offer free trading to customers with big enough balances and then started offering 10 free trades a month in 2011. Unfortunately those deals are gone, but Zecco still represents an excellent value.
We also love that Zecco does not charge fees you may see at other brokers like account maintenance fees or inactivity fees. (The one fee they do charge is a $30 annual IRA fee, which is a bummer and makes Zecco less attractive for IRA investors.)
Zecco also boasts an active and helpful online community. Forums provide trading tips and investment ideas.
